This is a trend that we’ve been talking about for some time. Somewhat surprisingly, Google was not the pioneer in this aesthetic .. we all saw it first in other Search Engines. But nevertheless, they’ve joined the fray, and our guess is that they will continue to expand on this. The idea is to create a more seamless visual between Search Advertising and Search results. It has been rumored that Google eventually will want to dominate the first page of results above the fold with Paid-Advertising, which makes sense when you have to continue to come up with creative ways to show increases in revenue when reporting to investors.
This may be good news to Advertisers as CTR’s will increase – and hopefully, as long as their results are relative, so will sales.
